About this file
This is Amendment #1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Procurement Office for pre-printed barcode labels. The solicitation (5400019582) requests barcode labels for sign and assembly applications, with specifications detailed in Section III of the solicitation document on page 15. The amendment was issued on April 16, 2020, with a deadline for questions by 10:00 AM on April 16, 2020. Offers must be submitted online at http://www.procurement.sc.gov by April 23, 2020 at 2:30 PM. One copy of the signed offer is required. Award is scheduled for May 31, 2020. The procurement officer is Nathaniel Billups (803-737-0514; BillupsNS@scdot.org). No pre-bid conference or site visit is required. Offerors must hold their offers open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date.
The amendment modifies the delivery requirement from thirty days to sixty days after the contractor's receipt of the purchase order to accommodate the lead time necessary for the barcode label production. Scanned examples of the final product are provided in Attachments C (Sign Barcode Example) and D (Assembly Barcode Example) on pages 31 and 32 of the solicitation. Previous bid tabulation sheets are attached to the amendment for reference. Material specifications, size requirements, adhesive requirements, and durability specifications are contained in Section III: Scope of Work/Specifications on page 15. Delivery shall be made to the location specified by SCDOT in its purchase order. Tabulation sheets from previous bids are included to assist prospective offerors in understanding prior bidding activity for this requirement.
