DFAS Basement Expansion Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center 8899 East 56th Street Indianapolis, IN 48429 Additional RFI & Responses 4/13/2018

RFI & RESPONSES:

1. Sheet E101, Plan Note 10, References Cabinets in the telecom room, but the enlarged drawing of the IT room states racks. Do you want cabinets or relay racks installed in the new IT closet?

As mention in a previous RFI, there are no racks/cabinets to be provided in the SOW.

2. There is no schedule on Drawing M100 for Grilles, Registers and Diffusers that would show sizes of grilles, give information on opposed blade dampers to be able to get the proper CFM, inlet size of the diffusers, to enable us to arrive at an accurate quote.

It is not shown on Sheet M100 because the information is shown on Sheet

M200. Also refer to Section 23 36 00 – Air Terminal Units in the project manual.

3. Contractors general working hours for the project is during tenant occupied hours between 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, as per specification section

01 10 00 1.9 C. Are contractors allowed to perform demolition, fire sprinkler and fire alarm work, including testing of the same, during regular working hours?

Per the Specifications (Selective Demolition and Fire Alarm), noisy or disruptive work is to take place after hours, as well as fire alarm testing.

Sprinkler work during the day will require a firewatch to be set up.
