The purpose of this amendment to the solicitation is to answer vendor questions.
Refer to the following pages for questions and answers.
The solicitation will close at 12:00PM Central on September 17, 2024.

1. What was the contract amount awarded to the incumbent for this service?
A: There is not an incumbent vendor for these services. No information can be provided.
2. Are there any sections of the ceiling that may seem fragile or delicate? If so, would the contractor be held exempt from any damages due to the weak nature of the tiles?
A: There are no specific panels that appear to be fragile or delicate. However, the side facing the ceiling is delicate, vendor must refrain from getting it wet and are not required to clean this side. In the event a tile becomes damaged during cleaning, vendors shall inform the COR the next day. Any damage due to negligence will be the responsibility of the vendor to repair/replace.
3. Can you provide the age of the ceiling tiles?
A: Age of the tiles is unknown.
4. What is the material of the tiles?
A: Unknown what the exact material is. However, it is a cleanable surface on the side facing the floor.
5. Are there any known water stains or mold on the ceiling tiles that we should be aware of?
A: No known stains or mold.
6. What is the height of the ceiling?
A: Standard 8 feet.
7. Is there a storage closet or room on-site where we can store supplies during the project, considering the 10-day completion window?
A: Yes, storage for supplies will be available.
8. Are there specific areas, such as sprinkler heads or vents, that require extra care during the cleaning process?
A: Yes, extra care will be required while cleaning sprinkler heads especially so as not to break them. Additionally, Wifi equipment is also present and must not get wet to the greatest extent possible.
9. Is there a list of VA approved cleaning supplies?
A: EPA registered cleaning supplies can be used. Vendors can search for approved cleaning products by name or type at the following web site: Search Products that Meet the Safer Choice Standard | US EPA. Vendors will need to provide a list of products to be used prior to beginning work.
10. How many ceiling vents are included in this 14,000 Sq ft space?
A: Approximately 15.
11. Do light covers need to be cleaned as well?
A: Yes, they will need to be cleaned as well. However, you do not need to take them down, instead you can leave them in place and clean the surface.
12. Do drop cords need to be cleaned?
A: Yes, they will need to be wiped down as well.
13. Do the tiles need to be taken out to be cleaned?
A: No, tiles can be left in place to be cleaned. Only take tiles out that require it in order for them to be cleaned.
14. Are vendors required to get PIV badges?
A: Yes, temporary PIV badges are required. Contractor personnel will need to go through security checks to receive a PIV badge. The program COR will provide the vendor with further details once a contractor personnel have been identified to work on this project.
