Text version

As I understand it, this solicitation is to provide delivery of VA owned equipment AND educate the veterans on said equipment. Then collection of and storage of said equipment as well. Is this correct? Correct

So in essence, we aren't purchasing any equipment nor are we billing for the hcpcs codes or equipment services. We are simply charging for our time to delivery and educate and pick up and then clean and store the VA equipment. Correct

We are unsure about how this is to be delivered; 1) electronically 2) hard copy and how many copies you would like to have. Additionally, is there a page limit for this response?

Digital only. Emailed to me erica.miller5@va.gov with RFQ number in title 36C26323Q1001. There is no page limit.

Previous iteration of this Fargo VA DME contract (2018) required 7500 square feet of space for storage.

The contractor shall provide a clean, pest/rodent free, secure, climate controlled contained area, with approximately 7500 square feet of space, for the storage of Government-owned supplies and equipment covered under this contract. Storage area must conform to all applicable State, Local and National Fire Protection Association Codes. In addition, the storage area must meet all State requirements for insurance. Clean and dirty equipment will be stored separately to avoid contamination.

Seeking confirmation as to accuracy of required sq ft requirement of this bid as being 1500 sq. ft.

The contractor shall provide a clean, pest/rodent free, secure, climate controlled contained area, with approximately 1500 square feet of space, for the storage of Government-owned supplies and equipment covered under this contract. Storage area must conform to all applicable State, Local and National Fire Protection Association Codes. In addition, the storage area must meet all State requirements for insurance. Clean and dirty equipment shall be stored separately to avoid contamination. The storage area must meet all Joint Commission or equivalent requirements for equipment management.

Yes, the amount of square footage required was reduced to 1,500, which is in line with other DME contracts in V23.

4. Technical Question - BID SN 36C26323Q1001

B.3.7 section requires storage facility to “be a storefront”. This is new language compared to previous contract.

Please define “storefront” from VA perspective.

mailto:erica.miller5@va.gov

The contractor’s storage and repair facility shall be within the county of each individual VAMC or a border county, due to requirements for frequent VA inspections and pickups at the VAMC. The storage facility shall be a storefront facility. (emphasis added by sender) This is from the southern tier’s DME contract. Essentially, the storage can’t be a warehouse with no signage on the outside, but easily viewable as the location needs to be easily identifiable for VAMC staff to find.
