1. How many samples per tank are required? 1 SAMPLE PER TANK FOR AN ANNUAL TOTAL OF 13 (DOESN’T INCLUDE RETESTS, IF NECESSARY).

1. What sample/test type do you need the lab to run? REFER TO THE STATEMENT OF WORK WITHIN THE SOLICITATION.

b) Water & Sediment – ASTM D2709

e) Biodiesel Concentration – ASTM D7371

1. Is there any way we can get a copy of the last annual report for reference? NO, THIS MAY REVEAL INFORMATION ABOUT A PREVIOUS CONTRACTOR’S PRACTICES THAT WE ARE PROHIBITED FROM SHARING.

1. After field Inspections, do follow-up repairs (service work) need to be initiated in 3 days or within 5 days as commonly practice?

1. Diesel fuels are typically tested, per ASTM D975 general procedures. Can alternative, comparable ASTM test methods be used in place of the specified ASTMs, in order to comply with the standard ASTM D975 test methods?

1. Regarding Microbial lab test methods, can we actually test for microbial analysis using the common “liquid cult kit,” per APL method #007 while following general protocols from ASTM method #D6469?

NEED TO USE AN APPROVED ASTM METHOD

1. Are the tanks tested to EPA standards or ND UST program standards?

BOTH SINCE EPA IS FEDERAL STANDARDS AND ND UST IS STATE. WHICHEVER STANDARD IS THE STRICTEST/MOST INCLUSIVE.

1. Will the lines need to be tested twice (per ND Standards)?

ONCE/ANNUAL

1. Will all lines need to be inspected or tested as appropriate? Three lines are classified as “safe suction” lines while five lines apparently have check valves installed.

ALL HAVE CHECK VALVES AND NEED TO BE INSPECTED AS APPROPRIATE.

1. Will tank product sampling consist of single grab samples, or a composite sample from more than one location in each tank? If composite samples are requested, then what sample locations are desired?
