Q&A
Question Answer
1. Can you remove the FIPS requirement for the AEDs? No AED on the market has FIPS compliance.
This is a brand name or equal solicitation so we want to know if other vendors have the capability. All items must meet or exceed the performance specifications. We have no plans of removing the FIPS requirement. FIPS compliances, or lack thereof, will remain part of the evaluation process.
2. Batteries: the solicitation calls for 18 spare batteries, the R Series defibrillators do not include a battery, 121 additional R Series batteries will need to be added to the solicitation.
Updated price schedule
3. Accessories: the solicitation does not list any accessories such as wall cabinets for the AEDs, disposable defibrillation electrodes, transport pouches for the R Series, WiFi cards for the R Series, wall mounting brackets for the AED 3, Internal handles(spoon), recorder paper, pelican cases, simulators, and training electrodes.
This is a brand name or equal solicitation.
Vendors are encouraged to customize their offer to the best configuration that satisfies the statement of work.
4. Battery charging stations, line number 4 calls for 3 charging stations, page number 4 under the statement of work call for 4 charging stations
Updating price schedule to QTY 4
5. Defibrillators, on the solicitation there is one line number for defibrillators, this should be 2 line numbers as Omaha has requested the R Series ALS 30120007201310012 and Sioux Falls, Des Moines, and Fargo have requested the R Series Plus 30520007201310013. So it would be 36 R Series ALS and 85 R Series Plus units.
This is a brand name or equal solicitation.
All required changes have been made per this amendment.
6. The FIPS requirement for the defibrillators will require software. This will require adding line items to include the items to support this.
Vendors are encouraged to customize their offer to the best configuration that satisfies the statement of work. All items must meet or exceed the performance specifications.
