Inquiries:

1. Please verify the tank sizes as the sizes provided on PG 8 of 62 in the RFQ are nonstandard (3125 & 575). Could these perhaps be a 3,000 Main with a 500 Reserve?

Answer: The tanks are rented from the current supplier. The main tank is 3,125 gallons and the reserve tank is 600 gallons.

2. What are the current tank set points for the Main and Reserve tanks (in inches) for FULL

TRYCOCK, REORDER POINT, REFILL POINT, & LOW-LEVEL ALARM?

Answer: 55 inches

3. Can the GOV provide pictures of the bulk tanks, tank gauges, and data plates for both Main & Reserve?

Answer: This should have been accomplished during a job walk or the scheduled site visit.

4. What is the average daily oxygen usage (in inches)?

Answer: 4-5 inches on a daily basis.

5. When was the most recent annual inspection, and will the GOV provide a copy of this report?

Answer: 1st week of September 2024. Not relevant as these are rental tanks. Air Gas will have to determine if they will pull their tanks if they don’t get the bid and the new company would need to install new tanks.

6. Has there been any history of vaporizers icing up due to high volume?

Answer: No.

7. Are there any planned construction projects on site that may hinder delivery access?

Answer: None.

8. EVALUATION: What is the GOV’s rationale for evaluating by price only for such a critical hospital function as prescription drug supply (FDA classifies Medical Grade Oxygen as a prescription drug)? Why not evaluate via “Best Value/Comparative Analysis” to ensure the facility is receiving the highest quality and not simply the lowest price that meets the bare minimum requirement?

Answer: Budget cuts.

9. As the NAICS for this RFQ is 325210 Industrial Gas Manufacturing, please confirm whether this is a Service Contract or a Supply Contract.

Answer: Supply and some service.
