About this file

This document includes a statement of work and price schedule for a document destruction services contract opportunity with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The contractor shall provide document destruction services at multiple VA locations across Northern California, including shredding administrative papers, classified papers, and sensitive documents to meet NAID certification standards. Services shall be provided on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the location. The base period of performance is one year with four optional one-year extensions. The price schedule sets forth the quantities and pickup schedules for standard consoles, mini consoles, and larger waste containers at each location. Interested parties must respond by April 22, 2019 to be considered for this opportunity, which may be set aside for veteran-owned small businesses.

The statement of work provides requirements for securing and transporting waste materials, certifications of destruction, safety standards, and information security. The contractor must use locked vehicles and store materials securely at their approved facility. Any spills or data breaches must be reported within 24 hours. The contractor will provide the consoles and keys for them to the VA and empty only those consoles on scheduled pickup dates.
