Remove and discard existing double doors and hinges and patch all holes on existing frame by approved methods to not compromise the 2-hour fire rating of existing walls at that location. Install a new 90-minute rated door frame in front of the existing frame and double doors to replace the removed doors. Note door swing shall be from Building 200 into Building 2. Work shall include relocating the existing door holding magnets from building 200 to work with the new door leaves. Per Attachment - B, position new door as noted to work with the relocated magnetic holders. Both new door leaves shall be hung with Stainless Steel full swing type 3 hinges. Install only flush mount exit crash bar hardware with top mount latching. Levers shall be coreless type. Caulk and paint gap in between the old and new frame for a seamless installation. Paint doors with color matching other stairwell doors of building 200. The existing pull station on the building 2 side shall be retained but relocated to work with the revised door swing. A new pull station shall be installed on the building 200 side and connected to the fire protection system of building 200. Contractor shall be responsible for all the work associated with integrating all the above into the existing fire alarm system of building 200 or building. The magnets shall be programmed to be released by the fire protection system of either building. Note that this hallway is heavily used by patient and staff and therefore must remain open to foot traffic. All work at this location shall be performed only in the weekends.
3. B200, Ground Floor Level, GA101 entrance door into Storage Closet. (For Location see Attachment A, Page 3). Glazing will not be required on this door. (Note the back door into the laundry chute is not to be replaced in this project).
4. B200, Ground Floor Level, Clinic exit into West Stairwell (For Location see Attachment A, Page3). – this area must be secured after hours. Work must be performed during afterhours. All hardware must be carried thru the exterior door of building 200 into the stairwell to reach the door location, not thru the interior clinic areas; and the same shall apply to the removal of all debris.

10. B200, Third Floor Level, OR Suite exit into West Stairwell (For Location see Attachment A, Pg. 6). – The OR Suites area has the most stringent Infection Control requirements of the hospital. All materials and debris must be carried into the site via the stairwells. Work areas must be completely segregated from the inside of OR and SPD by full plastic barriers sealing floor to the ceiling. Workers entering these areas must be fully suited up by OR gowns to be picked up from the OR and the SPD Reception Desks. Only after setting up the construction barriers can the existing door be removed and the new one installed. When setting up the barriers, before the barriers are fully operational, and when removing the barriers at the completion of work, all workers must be fully suited up since they will be physically in contact with the interior areas. Only carry the new doors up the stairwells, not thru the SPD area and the same shall apply to the removal of all debris. All work must be completed and all debris removed within the same day including painting. Work can only be performed from Friday after 6 PM thru Monday before 5 AM. Accordingly, work can be performed only between 7 PM and 6 AM. Door installation must be completed and fully operational within on 7 pm to 6 am period to provide full closure to the kitchen at all times and fully secured afterhours. Final finish work and painting can be performed in the next period but all gaps around the doors and wall segments must be fully sealed with quality plastic sheeting such as Visqueen to maintain the existing operating environment for the kitchen. Note this area has the most stringent infection control requirements. A full plastic barrier must be installed to segregate the kitchen from the work area before start of work and then removed before 6 AM at the completion to return the kitchen back into operations.
