About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Standard Form 30) for a VA Medical Center procurement of specialized Sterile Processing (SPS) Workstations. The solicitation (No. 36C26025Q0558) is for the Boise VA Medical Center and requires four custom stainless steel electronically adjustable workstations: two 72-inch Ergonomic Prep & Pack Workstations and two Wrap Inspection Workstations (one 60-inch and one 72-inch). Key specifications include electronic height adjustment, LED lighting, modular back wall, storage options, integrated task lighting with 4.75x magnification, power outlets, and casters. The delivery timeline has been extended from 30 days to 10-12 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO), and the amendment addresses vendor questions about quantities, specifications, and required certifications.
The amendment updates the Delivery Schedule and Salient Characteristics, clarifies specific requirements like LED brightness (minimum 200 lux), task light specifications (PureSteel™ 4.75x Magnification Task Light), and provides guidance on completing required federal contracting representations. Vendors must fill out and return specific clauses with their quote, including 52.204-24, 52.225-2, 852.219-76, and FAR 52.212-3(b). The workstations are designed for preparing and packaging Reusable Medical Devices (RMD), with the contractor responsible for shipment, installation, and providing in-service training to SPS employees.

QUESTIONS
1. How are responses to the following clauses required to be accomplished:
• 52.204-24 Representation Regarding Certain Telecommunications and Video
Surveillance Services or Equipment
• 52.209-7 Information Regarding Responsibility Matters
• 52.225-2 Buy American Certificate
• 852.219-76 VA Notice of Limitations on Subcontracting – Certificate of Compliance
For Supplies And Products
• FAR 52.212-3(b)
Answer: Fill them out, sign the front page of the RFQ and return with submission of your quote.
52.209-7 Information Regarding Responsibility Matters was included here by mistake and is not required to be filled out, nor is it included in the solicitation. All others must be completed accurately. 52.225-2 Buy American Certificate must be filled out, even if your products are all of domestic origin. If this is the case, vendors should list “None” where it asks for a list of foreign end products. Vendors should thoroughly review the submission requirements to ensure their quote submission is acceptable.
2. Could you please provide clarification on the following:
• The Price/Cost Schedule (section B.2, pages 5 - 9) in the RFQ requests (2) Ergonomic
Workstations - 72"x 32" (i.e. Line Item 001) and (2) Wrap Inspection Tables (i.e. Line
Item 0016 - 60" x 32" and Line Item 0018 - 72" x 32")
• The SPECIFICATIONS section on page 10 appears to ask for (2) Ergonomic
Workstations (72"x32") and (1) Wrap Inspection Table (60"x32").
• Could you please clarify which quantity of Wrap Inspection Tables and size is correct?
Answer: There should be two Wrap Inspection Tables. Salient Characteristics will be updated to reflect this.
3. Could you confirm the brand name for Item No. 0012: 4.7x Magnification Task Light
Answer: The brand name for this item is The PureSteel™ 4.75x Magnification Task Light. Must have a 4.75x and 2.25x option. Salient Characteristics will be updated to reflect this.
4. Could you confirm the level of brightness you would prefer regarding Item No. 0020: "LED light into the working surface of the workstation”?
Answer: The minimum level of brightness regarding Item No. 0020 is 200 lux. Salient
Characteristics will be updated to reflect this.
5. The stated delivery timeline is 30 Days ARO. Since these are custom-made workstations and are not kept in stock by any vendor in the industry, it is unlikely they can be fabricated and delivered within this timeframe. Could this timeline be reconsidered to reflect a more feasible production and delivery schedule?
Answer: The delivery timeframe will be updated to 10-12 weeks ARO. The Delivery Schedule will be updated to reflect this.
