About this file
This pre-construction risk assessment document outlines requirements for a window replacement project on the fourth floor of Building 154 at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical facility. The project involves replacing all windows in medical surgical unit rooms, offices, and the respiratory therapy area. Noise and vibration must be mitigated, and any fumes, odors, or dust controlled. Emergency procedures and debris removal plans are addressed. As minimal dust is expected, the project is classified as a Group 2 activity, requiring notification of staff and dust barrier installation. The contractor must ensure clothing is dust-free when leaving work areas, and debris removed after hours if possible.
The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 36C25921R0090 for the window replacement project, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19.
