The purpose of this amendment is to:
A. Provide answers to questions received through 05/17/2018.
B. Revise B.2 Paragraph 4.1

1. Change paragraph B.2, Paragraph 4.1 to now read as follows:
4.1 Medical Supply Technician
· Experience in processing, assembling, trouble-shooting, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and issuing sterile and unsterile medical supplies and equipment.
· The applicant must possess knowledge of the technical names, general uses, physical characteristics, and operating conditions of medical supply items; knowledge of decontamination, cleaning, preparation, sterilization, and storage procedures; knowledge of aseptic techniques; and skill in operating a washer-sterilizer, ultrasonic instrument cleaners, and gas and steam sterilizers.
· Examples of qualifying specialized experience include work as an operating room technician, medical instrument technician.
· The applicant must be certified by (CBSPD) The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution and/or ISAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management)(added through A00001)
2. Answers to provided questions are:
1. Will the VA include evaluation criteria (e.g. sub-factors) for the technical and past performance evaluation factors to define what the minimum acceptance criteria are?
The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced offer (inclusive of options) See Section B.2, paragraph 2 .1.1 and amended (above) 4.1
1. Does the VA require resumes, licensures, and other documentation of candidates’ qualifications as a minimum acceptance criteria?

1. The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution has 5 different certifications. Please clarify the certification requirement.
There are two certifications that are acceptable – ISAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) and or CBSPD (Certified Board Sterile Processing and Decontamination).
1. Will the government please define the technical/past performance response requirements for technical acceptability?
