QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. The position is for up to 40 hours per month; Are the 40 hours consecutive? Or are they sporadic through the month? How far in advance is the schedule developed? This would determine if the Radiation Safety Officer had to be local.
· The position is for up to 40 hours per month; the 40 hours are they sporadic through the month. Previously, there has not been a written schedule, the current physicist goes to the Pensacola clinic quarterly, the MOPC annually or as needed. 2. The PWS states the employee would "Radiation Safety Inspections of the VA’s Outpatient Clinics in Mobile, AL and in Pensacola, FL" Will the Government obligate a travel CLIN for these locations? Will the Contractor have to bear the expenses for those trips? If the Contractor is to pay for these trips how many trips per year are there to each location?
· The current contractor pays for the trips. He goes to Pensacola quarterly, other clinics annually at a minimum. He travels as needed to investigate/resolve issues and provide Radiation Safety Training as needed.
