The Department of Veterans Affairs CAVHS has the requirement to provide Janitorial Services to the JLM – John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Government response to vendors questions/ concerns

1. Would I be responsible for washing the cubicle curtains or do I just take them down and give to

EMS for cleaning? Vendor is not responsible for the washing of the cubicle curtains. Curtain beyond general cleaning shall be turned in to EMS for cleaning.

2. Am I responsible for replacing the shower curtain in our budget? Curtain beyond general cleaning shall be turned in to EMS for cleaning.

3. Could you clarify cleaning of furniture? Se PWS @ aa. FURNITURE: Free of dust, soil, stains, grease, ink marks are to be removed from vinyl, plastic, and fabric upholstered areas. The cleaning of furniture should include ensuring that the furniture is free of dust, grease and dirt from all areas and vinyl, plastic and fabric parts of furniture should be free of any visible marks or dirt. ANY EFFORT BEYOND GENERAL CLEANING SHALL BE DOCUMENTED AND

REPORTED WEEKLY TO COR FOR REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT DETERMINATION.

4. Is this a new requirement? If not, can you provide the current contract number and incumbent?

5. What was the current contract amount (both the base period and option years)?

This is a new requirement; concern not applicable

6. Can you provide the square footage for the flooring types? Carpet, Vinyl tile, Ceramic.

Approximately 35000 Square feet

7. Is this a 7 day per week/365 day per year cleaning frequency? The requirement is only for

Monday through Friday services.

8. Is cleaning required on holidays? Cleaning will not be required on Federal Holidays, below is the list and definitions of Federal Holidays.

• Federal Holidays

In accordance with 5 U.S.C. 6103, Executive Order 11582 and Public Law 94-97 the following national holidays are observed and for the purpose of this contract is defined as "Legal Federal, official holidays" as follows:

New Year’s Day January 1 Martin Luther King Day Third Monday in January Presidents’ Day Third Monday in February Memorial Day Last Monday in May Independence Day July 4 Labor Day First Monday in September Columbus Day Second Monday in October Veterans’ Day November 11 Thanksgiving Day Fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day December 25 Or any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday.

9. Is stripping & wax, and carpet cleaning required under this contract? The statement of work mentions it but does not provide a frequency or periodic timetable for any floor cleaning. See frequency details in PWS.

10. The statement of work seems to indicate that the contractor is only responsible for his own equipment and labor. Is this correct? The contractor is responsible labor; CAVHS will provide all supplies and equipment.

11. The statement of work talks about the contractor installing restroom dispensers if they chose to not use the current dispensers, however if the contractor wants to use the current dispensers and one of the dispensers becomes inoperable or broken, who's responsible for replacing the that dispenser? CAVHS is responsible for replacing the dispenser ONCE notified by contractor.

12. Will an extension be granted for PPQ submission? Some of our relevant references have been furloughed. All PPQ’s are due nlt 02/15/2019

13. Are we required to perform stripping and refinishing floors at the CAVHS Little Rock VA? Yes stripping and waxing is required monthly. See frequency details in PWS.

14. The restrooms are listed to be done daily, is that pre- shift. Cleaning frequencies restrooms are listed under two groups; See frequency details in PWS.

15. Are the Corridors, Stairwell and the Elevator landing done on the evening shift? See frequency details in PWS.

16. Can you give us the Government’s estimated price for this solicitation? This service requirement is not subject to Section 836.204: Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects.
