| Are any consumables paid by the Government such as fuel, stringer or blade replacements, mower blade replacement, sand, mulch, flowering Annuals, etc. |

Can you provide a list of available equipment and the approximate ages of the mowers and salt spreading equipment?
List is being prepared, but most of the equipment is new, or fairly new.
Other than the turf surrounding the building and the hospital entrance, are there any other areas that need lawn chemical and fertilization programs?

How many trash cans and smoker’s towers are there and how often do you want them emptied? Three or five times each week?
This requirement needs to be removed from the PWS. The Facility has CWT’s who will empty both the trash cans and the Smoker’s towers.
How often do the hospital and clinic entrances need to be pressure washed and would it be permissible to perform the power washing when the clinics are closed?
This requirement needs to be removed from the PWS. The Facility will handle any pressure washing required at the facility.
Would you like tree rings around the trees in turf areas? Tree rings are a matter of aesthetics and entirely up to you, however I do recommend them for small and smooth barked trees.
Any improvements similar to the tree rings will be discussed with the selected contractor during the performance of the services.
Are there any seasonal decorations (Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Veterans’ Day or other holidays) to be installed, removed and stored? Or would any decorations be purchased each year?
The Facility handles all the seasonal decorations.
Upon the return of the sprinkler system to full functionality, who would be responsible for the maintenance and repair if the system? Not applicable, the system will not be reestablished for several years.
Seeding is shown in specs, will the contractor do and over-seed including verti-cut or aeration? If so please specify how many pounds per 1000 feet or per acre, or will this be left to the contractor.
Update- Aeriation is to be provided. The application for over seeding will depend on the product proposed by the contractor. It will be discussed and agreed upon once the contractor is selected and the product is proposed.
Please provide the equipment that the government is providing i.e. deck size zero turn etc.
PWS 3.4 provides a list
Will weed eater and edgers be in the list of equipment?

With regards to mulch, will contractor supply mulch and dictated the color?
PWS 4.3 lists material to be provided by the contractor. Color to be approved by the VA.
The walking trail requires weeding periodically, who bares the responsibility?
PWS 5.1.6 contractor applies herbicide to the fitness trail. Other trail maintenance will be handled by the VA.
Will contractor be required to empty trash container, and if so how many containers are there, and how many gallons?
To be removed from the PWS.
Will contractor be required to remove leaves from lawn area and disposal of offsite?
PWS 1.3 …dispose of fallen leaves… They need to be removed from the facility.
Will contractor be required to sweep parking lot, if so how often?
Sweeping the parking lots is not included in the base services.
Is contractor responsible for sidewalks sweeping / power-washing and if so how often.
PWS 1.3 addressing cleaning the sidewalks and picking up debris on the sidewalks.
Pressure Washing will be handled by the VA.
