1. Please confirm that all final connections are being performed by the site general contractor or others.

• VA will assist

2. Please confirm the supply pipe size and pressure at connection point.

• A 2-inch water supply line will be provided. A 4-inch sanitary will be provided at each trailer in one location. Additional connections will be made by trailer provider. Current water pressure runs about 60 psi but is lower at times.

3. Please confirm the total power available for trailer complex.

• 1200 amps 3 phase 480V

4. Based on the site meeting and the request for the number of units being delivered coupled with the user/general contractor provided deck and utilities that a multiphase installation and commissioning will be requested/required.

• The Government will work with the contractor on an installation and commissioning plan.

5. Please confirm a phased in approach for the Mobile endoscopy unit is acceptable if it is prior to the inhouse endoscopy department shutdown at a future date such as December of 2022.

6. Please confirm that the relocation of inhouse endoscopy equipment is not required.

• All endoscopy equipment shall be provided by the contractor. No endoscopy equipment owned by facility will be used in the trailers

7. Can the facility extend a line with a speaker mounted in the units for the hospital announcements as required in the PWS?

8. Please confirm that emergency power will be provided and connected by others.

• An ATS with generator hook ups will be provided. A mobile generator could then be provided as needed.

9. Please confirm that the bidders are responsible to quarterly air test and balance reports.

10. B.3 Price/Cost Schedule, CLIN #0010 includes an item for “Covered Ramps”. There is no reference to a Covered Ramp in the Scope of Work nor in the Requirements. Are the scope and requirement to be included or is the CLIN for the Covered Ramp to be removed from the Price/cost Schedule?

• Line Item 0010 Covered Ramps has been removed from the Price/Cost Schedule

11. B.2 Statement of Work, #2 Specifications requires three 100 NX All Clear (H202) Plasma Sterilizers. As a cost savings measure will the facility provide the current 100 NX All Clear (H202) Plasma Sterilizers from the department for use in Mobile Sterilization Unit?

• The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment including the Plasma Sterilizers.

12. What are the specific requirements for the Sterile Storage, Satellite Storage Area mentioned on page #7?

13. Please confirm that the Emergency Power source and transfer switch will be provided by KC VAMC to the site electrical disconnect.?

• Emergency power and a transfer switch will be provided via another contractor to support the trailers if needed.

14. Will the facility be able to supply hot and cold-water feeds to the site? All water feeds will be supplied via another contractor for the trailers.

• A two-inch cold-water feed will be provided. A hot water feed will not be provided.

15. Is the facility responsible for providing a water source to the site that is AAMI TIR:34 compliant Utility water or is the Subcontractor being asked to provide additional treatment, other than pH Control, for the incoming water?

• The facility is providing water that is treated per city (City of Kansas City) requirements. If additional treatment beyond the standard city water source is required, then that must be provide by the contractor. The contractor must determine if the water source is appropriate or not for use in their mobiles.
