NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Force Sensors For Pedestrian Duumy
The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 333416 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Humanetics Innovative Solutions, 23000 Haggerty Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48335 o for force sensors for pedestrian dummy.
These sensors will be used to measure force distribution and joint responses during impact scenarios, supporting research on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safety improvements. The sensors are specifically designed for the crash-test dummy model currently owned by the VA and are manufactured and sold exclusively by Humanetics Innovative Solutions.
Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday, March 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. Capability statements will be used solely to determine whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any information provided. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely at its discretion. No solicitation is available at this time.
