X x This amendment is to answer questions from 8/30/2019 site visit, attached.
RFQ has been extended to Tuesday, September 10,2019 at 3pm. No quotes will be accepted after this time.

1. Would there be bonding required?
1. No.
1. Is there a technical or spec drawing of the requested items, that include locations of electrical, and plumbing for sprinklers sited on the drawings?
1. No. Electrical, plumbing & sprinklers would not change locations.
1. Does sprinkler system need removed and then re-added to the coolers by vendor or VA. Who is responsible for recert?
1. The freeze-proof heads will need to be removed & reinstalled by VA engineering sub-contractor (VFP): certification not required.
1. When mold, lead, or asbestos is found behind the cooler, who is responsible for cleanup?
1. IF mold, lead or asbestos is found and needs to be remediated or abated, VA would be responsible.
1. Who moves the food from cooler into and off of the refrigerated trucks?
1. VA Dietetics staff.
1. Where are the condensing units located? And where are the refrigeration lines? And who makes the connections to the condensing unit and refrigeration lines in the sub-basement (VA or Vendor)?
1. The condensing units are currently located outside along the wall between Dietetics & Bldg. 2. The vendor would be responsible for complete installation and testing of the refrigeration units and removal of existing units and refrigeration lines.
1. Is there enough breaker space to run the new compressor? If not, where will new breaker box need to be installed?
1. Load requirements needed. Intent is to use existing breakers.
1. There is a structural column in the cooler, the cooler will have to be built around this column which will add more to the cost.
1. The unit(s) will need to be built around the column.
1. What is on the other side of the freezer? Is it a wall that leads to outside?
1. It is an outside wall.
1. The beam across the ceiling is it needed? Is it used for support?
1. They are structural support for the units. The units must be able to support mechanics working on systems above the units.
1. Two refrigerated trucks that will be on site, where will they be kept? For how long? And who covers the fuel/gas/etc. to keep the trucks running?
1. The trucks will be located at the open dock outside of Dietetics for the duration of the project. Vendor will need to ensure the capability and running of the trucks (generator).
