About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for construction services to correct pharmacy physical security deficiencies. The Robley Rex VA Medical Center is seeking these services, as defined in the statement of work, specifications and drawings for Project 603-20-707. This is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business in accordance with U.S.C. 38 section 8127(d). The procurement will follow a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. One question concerned inaccurate scale on drawings due to file compression, and the response confirmed files have been uncompressed to ensure proper 30" x 42" printability.

36C24922R0019 Project#603-20-707 Solicitation Correct Pharmacy Physical Security Deficiencies

Vendor Question:

1. I am starting my takeoff and noticed the scale is not correct on the drawings. This has to do with the A/E printing the CADD drawing to an 8-1/2 x 11” size instead of a 30” x 42”. I have the following question.

a. The drawings were printed from CADD to PDF for 8-1/2” x 11” paper size. This throws the digital scale off and we are not able to take accurate electronic measurements. The question was asked in previous RFI’s and the answer was to print to a 40” x 42”. We are using software to perform these calculations and need these to be printed as a PDF to 30” x 42”. If there were dimensions on the page, we could set out scale but there are not any dimensions. Can you have the A/E pdf these to the correct size paper?

Government Response:

1. We believe initial drawings submitted were in a compressed state which led to inaccurate scale. File has since be uncompressed and checked to ensure it is printable to 30” x 42”.

End of questions submitted.
