DESCRIPTION
GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for an integration system for collecting, calculating, presenting, and storing physiological parameters in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab of Cardiology.
BACKGROUND: The James A Haley VA Medical Center currently runs a Cardiac Catheterization Lab that is now performing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures. In order to perform these procedures, an integration system that can collect, calculate, present and store physiological parameters like Pa, Pd, FFR, Pd/Pa, RFR, CFR, IMR, RRR, Absolute Flow, Absolute Resistance, dP /dt, intravascular temperature is needed.
PURPOSE: A cardiac catheterization lab, also known as a “cardiac Cath lab,” is a specialized area in the hospital where doctors perform minimally invasive tests and advanced cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. The cardiac Cath lab is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology used to view the arteries and check how well blood is flowing to and from the heart. This provides the care team with information to help diagnose and treat blockages and other problems in the arteries often without patients needing to undergo surgery.
SCOPE: James A Haley is requesting contractors provide brand name equipment/software. Workmate Claris 120 Recording System is the currently used system in 2 of 3 currently running Cath labs – the last currently under construction has never had a recording system before. The contractor will install the full system and all necessary components for fully functional integration system in the cardiac catheterization lab.
