About this file
This document is Amendment 0002 to Solicitation 36C24824R0088 for the replacement of self-closing doors in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The period of performance is 140 days, with potential for extension based on material lead times. The amendment addresses questions and responses related to the door specifications, including confirmation that the doors will be manually operated without the need for electrical power, and that the 84-inch door height will be maintained. It also clarifies that the Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements do not apply to federal construction contracts in Puerto Rico. The amendment requires all offerors to acknowledge receipt.
