36C24821Q1127 Questions & Answers

Q1. What brand of lifts are in your facility now?

VA: Currently we have about four different brands of ceiling lift in the Lake City VAMC but are looking forward to standardize to one brand since having such variety places our patients and staff at risk for injury being that all have different features.

Q.2 Under 'Specific Needs'

a. Item 4 regarding extendable warranty. The way we read that is that after 3 years, you want to pay additional for an extended warranty for 10 years. Is that correct?

b. Item 5 - The industry standard for life expectancy is 10 years. There are no lifts out there that have a lift expectancy 20 or 30 years. Please clarify.

VA:

a. Item 4: We do not necessary plan to go with the extended warranty but could consider it once we are close to the end of the 3-year warranty period.

b. Item 5: The life expectancy for the lift we require is 15 years compared to 7-8 years of other brands.
