BOOM SPECIFICS: Boom should reach a distance of 2600mm, use brake technology that uses a passive electro-pneumatic brake, enable the ability to wheel in specialty equipment and connect it to the bottom of the boom while maintaining a small footprint around the sterile field, and should be fully modular with panels from one side to the other without having to disconnect any hoses/outlets.

MONITOR/ENDOSCOPY SPECIFICS: Monitors should be able to have live video streaming for education and training with low end-to-end latency, 1080p HD resolution, and talkback for live interaction. They should also have real-time room-to-room communications, access to remote locations, and HD encoders/decoders, store virtual viewing of recorded HD content, and can edit, share, and delete content. This shall be compatible with current infrastructure.

LIGHT SPECIFICS: The Lights must have an autofocus feature that eliminates the need for any manual focusing any time you move the light around the surgical site and should utilize a 3D sensor system to eliminate shadows at the surgical site by turning various LED pods off and powering up the unobstructed pods to provide a uniform pattern at the surgical site. In addition, lights should be designed with an opening in the center of the lamp head to improve airflow and reduce turbulence over the surgical site and come prepped for future applications. The flat panel brackets should be able to hold current OR monitors allowing 420-degree rotation to provide increased mobility of the monitors around the sterile field and should allow the lights to have 360-degree rotation and no stops from the lamp head or arm.
