VENDOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Will the VA provide the operator with storage area for operating supplies (Uniforms, Traffic cones, Go-Jacks, etc.)? If so, provide the size detail and location.
No, all uniforms, jackets, etc, will be maintained by the company. Only exception is while closed, lockbox will be maintained in Police Operations.
2. Is there a workspace were the valet site manager can use and store gear? Can you provide details on this?
Unfortunately, no.
3. How many years has the current contract been in place?
Approximately last 5 years
4. What is the contract number and contractual value of that contract?
5. What is the last 1-month’s contractual price?
Pricing will not be released
6. Can the vendor number the parking spaces in the Valet Lot?
Engineering has agreed, however, VA will not agree to pay for this numbering
7. Can you provide the past results of the 10-minute performance requirement for the last 12 months from the current vendor?
N/A
8. From the current operations, what would the VA like to see done differently with the valet parking service?
Less blockage towards the entrance and timely recovery of patients vehicles.
9. How long has the current vendor been under contract at this hospital?

10. Is there any upcoming construction in valet staging? If so, please provide detail.
No

12. How much notice will be provided prior to the contract start date?
Contract start date is 9/1/2019
13. Is the valet staging area shared with other parking groups? If so who, and please provide detail.
No
14. During increased valet activity, can vehicles be stacked in valet staging or valet parking lots?
Yes
15. Are there VA working cameras that overlook the valet staging and parking areas?
Yes
16. What has been the average range of daily vehicle count by day of the week for the last twelve (12) months?
125-150 per day
17. Is the staging area in parking lot 1A or do we operate from the main entrance?
Operations is at main entrance
18. Two separate sections with 2 different hours of operations. Does this mean we park until 2pm and only retrieve vehicles 2:00pm-4:30pm?
No, patients still have afternoon appointments. Any patients after the allotted time will retrieve their keys from VA Police.
19. Page 4 says park hours are between 8AM and 2PM, Page 5 #4 says hours of operation will be 8AM - 430PM What hours is the valet service required to be on site to park cars and retrieve cars? Until 2PM or until 430PM?
8AM to 4:30 PM
