QUESTIONS AND ANWERS
36C4619Q1091 Elevator Maintenance
1. Page 7 of the solicitation states “Contractor shall provide daily (Monday thru Friday) inspections to all elevators starting at 7:00 a.m. EST and ending at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST”. This implies a mandatory 25 hours of maintenance each week, plus the mandated 12 hours of overtime each month. During the recent walk through, it was stated by a VA representative that the current contract requires mechanics to be onsite for a minimum mandatory period of one hour each day to perform required inspections, for a total of five hours each week. Can the VA confirm that the required hours for the current contract is a mandatory 25 hours per week?
A: The Contractor shall provide daily (Monday thru Friday) inspections to all elevators starting at 7:00 a.m. EST and ending at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST.” This does total 25 hours a week. After all daily inspections and any maintenance is completed for that day, the contractor may leave.
2. Can past performance questionnaires be utilized that was previously submitted under Solicitation 36C24619Q0780?
A: Yes. Previous submitted past performance questionnaires can be used for the current solicitation.
