QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Regarding the quantity/sizes of deficiencies that are outlined in RFQ:

• If there is a previous report to assist in the quoting process can that be provided?

I can provide a previous report

• Are there Life Safety plans that identify where these deficiencies are located? We have plans but will not show specifically where deficiencies are located.

Contractors usually come out, inspect and repair on the spot.

• Is line item 0006 meant to be the price for each individual fire door inspection?

YES. If the pricing is for all the fire door inspections, we will need the total number of fire doors to be inspected. Can you provide the total quantity of fire doors to be inspected? We have the list of Fire doors in the package.

HEPA Cart:

• Does the facility have a containment cart or does the contactor need to bring one? Contractor will need to provide all tools

• Can you provide the plans that show the areas that the cart needs to be worked in? Yes, Contractor is required to follow all infection control procedures for the area of the inspection to include using a portable containment and/or plastic barriers. The facility will provide the infection control levels of every area in the building. See Statement of Condition (also known as Life Safety) drawings.

• Does the fire stop contractor needs to be FM-4991 certified? YES

• What is the availability for work to be completed? 0600 to 1530. With after hours as needed.

• M – Sun any hours? Weekends? We can schedule if something cannot be done during normal hours.

Access:

• Are keys, badge and 100% access given to contractors are do we need to plan for low efficiencies? Once you are badged in, we will assist with the access.
