STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Contract Title. Alaris Infusion Pump Replacement

2. Background. The Coatesville VA Medical Center currently has Alaris 8015 PC units and Alaris 8100 Pump modules The Coatesville VA Medical Center needs to replace all infusion pumps in order to maintain patient safety and continue the required care for the Veterans.

3. Scope. Contractor is to provide, install, and set up the Brand Name or Equal to Alaris 8015 Next generation Alaris PC Units and Alaris 8100 Alaris Pump modules at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The contractor is to provide, install, and set up the Dell Server with Alaris Systems Manager software and license.

4. Tasks.

The contract shall provide, install, and set up the following brand name or equal equipment:

• Twenty five (25) Next generation Alaris PC Units Model 8015

• Fifty (50) Alaris Pump Modules Model 8100

• One (1) Dell Server Running Windows Server 2012 or higher

• One (1) Alaris Systems Manager License

The contractor shall provide onsite installation of the infusion pump PC units and modules and Alaris Systems Manager software.

All PC units must communicate with the Alaris Systems Manager software via wireless transmission. Contractor will set up and install each infusion pump PC unit including wireless transmission as needed.

The contractor shall provide one (1) day of onsite technical training on the Alaris Systems Manager software, PC Units, and Pump Modules to the Biomedical Engineering Department.

The contractor shall provide one (1) day of onsite user training to the Pharmacy Department for adding/deleting drugs from the drug library and sending updates via wireless transmission.

The contractor shall provide five (5) days of onsite product training to Nursing Staff on the new functionalities of the PC units and modules to ensure VA Medical Center staff are trained to use the equipment.

Contractor shall provide project management services for the deployment which will include at least one conference call with appropriate VA Medical Center staff to plan the installation, deployment, and training.

5. Performance Monitoring All units purchased will be subject to an incoming inspection by Biomedical Engineering to ensure the units are functional and meet electrical safety standards as defined by the current edition of NFPA 99.

6. Security Requirements. The contractor will be installing equipment in the Information Technology closet. No work shall be performed in the Information Technology closet without representation from Biomedical Engineering present.

7. Risk Control. Contractor is responsible for providing all applicable training and protective equipment to protect Contractor’s employees from any hazards, including blood borne pathogens, which may be encountered in the performance of this contract.

8. Place of Performance. All work will be performed at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA, 19320.

9. Period of Performance. Contractor will have 180 days from contract award to complete the installation.

10. Delivery Schedule. Contractor will set delivery schedule to ensure that installation can be completed within 180 days from contract award.

6. Security Requirements. The contractor will be installing equipment in the Information Technology closet. No work shall be performed in the Information Technology closet without representation from Biomedical Engineering present.
7. Risk Control. Contractor is responsible for providing all applicable training and protective equipment to protect Contractor’s employees from any hazards, including blood borne pathogens, which may be encountered in the performance of this contract.
9. Period of Performance. Contractor will have 180 days from contract award to complete the installation.
