This amendment adresses RFI's submitted by interested firms. Additional responses are to be posted by September 22.

1. Please provide an equipment list and quantities for the equipment covered by this contract?
The equipment at the Brooklyn campus is:
CCTV – 9 Panasonic DVR units, 9 32” monitors, 1 20” call-up monitor, 144 cameras access control Main Hirsch access control service, 2 workstations, 3 20” monitors, 22 M8N2 controllers, 6 M16N2 alarm controllers Pharmacy Hirsch access control PC with 20” monitor, 4 M8N2 controllers Intrusion/panic system, Central 1 receiver, micro key software, PC with 20” monitor, 110 panics, 20 intrusion systems Below is the equipment at the New York campus:

2. Provide the expectation on the total number of technicians and days of service for each monthly visit.
Two technicians’ days of testing depend on the amount of time for completion of alarm testing
3. Are software updates expected to be included under maintenance or will this be handled separately? If included, provide an inventory of items and systems to be covered along with the software revision and date of the last update.

Concerning this solicitation are the only deliverables ensuring the panic alarms are working and determining and verifying locations and creating documentation and drawings for panic alarms or for all security systems to include the panic alarms, intrusion/motion detectors systems, access controls systems, CCTV systems, their locations and testing requirements.

18. Regarding the asset management system, can it be verified that a COTS will be authorized access to the VA network?
No, the panic alarm system is not on the VA network.
19. Are there any current manuals of the current security systems (panic/duress/intrusion) in possession of the government representatives that can be provided to the contractor?
None available
20. Has monthly Inspection and testing been occurring and provided to the government? If so, can these logs be provided after award?

21. Concerning the requirement in the SOW about monthly inspection, testing and general cleaning of all security access control security systems to include panels, readers, power supplies and locking devices, when was a general cleaning completed and was this cleaning documented of the security systems (panic alarm) at a minimum?

22. Are there currently firestopping engineered systems and procedures in place to maintain fire safety codes? for wirings and cable?

43. The VA owns a significant amount of diverse equipment that are part of the overall security system. Is it the Government's intent for the contractor to create a new inventory list of physical security systems? Such a list would require the contractor to record all information, both physical (part numbers) or digital (MAC/IP addresses, firmware levels for compliance, etc.) Does the government currently have such information at its disposal that can be part of the bidding reference?
