SCOPE OF WORK

Project No. 528A5-17-526

Design Renovations to Building 6 First Floor

Canandaigua, VA Medical Center

The general scope of this project is to renovate building 6, first floor, for use by the Veteran Crisis Line for call center use.

The contractor is responsible to provide all material, tools, labor, equipment, and supervision to complete the following in accordance with this statement of work, specifications and drawings. This project will include the removal of existing walls as required to support the desired layout, removal and replacement of ceilings, and flooring on the 1st floor of Bldg. 6, upgrades to the building utility distribution systems to ensure support of the call center, and other renovations necessary to support the use of the first floor by the Veteran’s Crisis Line. The space will include both open spaces for future furniture install, office spaces, and larger workrooms. There are men’s and women’s restrooms with multiple stalls on the floor. The space will include a PACS badge access system tied to employee PIV cards and security cameras. The work shall provide state of the art HVAC, electrical, lighting, water, sanitary, and other utilities as required to properly condition and serve the space and the function of the

Veteran’s Crisis Line.

The period of performance is 365 days from issuance of the notice to proceed.

EXISTING CONDITIONS

The Canandaigua VAMC is a campus facility with many (more than 30) buildings located on over 200 acres. Many of the facility buildings are included on the historic register. Building 6 is considered historic, and where necessary the renovations will comply with the requirements of the NYS SHPPO.

The floor of building 6 is being renovated for use by the Veteran’s Crisis Line. The second floor of building 6 houses call center space and is occupied. The ground floor of building 6 houses housekeeping offices and services and is also occupied.
