Queson and Answer Page:

Queson:

Can you please confirm if the listed tanks requiring inspecon are aboveground or underground? If it is a mix of both aboveground and underground fuel storage tanks, how many of each type are there?

Answer:

Two aboveground diesel tanks.

One aboveground gasoline tank.

One aboveground JAA (aviaon fuel) tank.

can you share details on the manufacturing, make, model for each unit?

Answer:

The gasoline tank (1,500 gallon) double walled above ground tank is by Hoover Containment, NO. M- 320140. The exact model is not listed on the data plate.

The diesel tank for marine fuel / generator (5,000 gallon) is an aboveground single walled tank inside a cofferdam containment structure. No data plate available, so unknown manufacture / model.

The diesel tank for Staon building heang and generator (3,000 gallon) is a double walled aboveground tank. Not data plate, again unknown manufacture / model.

The aviaon fuel tank (2,000 gallon) is an aboveground tank by Convault INC. model WRN 2000 3SF.

Has this contract been awarded previously? If so, what was the incumbent price?

Answer:

No, this contract has not been awarded previously.

Would you like the bidding contractor to submit at least three past performance reviews related to this scope of work?

Yes, however not required.

Queson:

What are exactly the criteria under some of the inspecons are being expected to meet?

Answer:

We are looking for a complete inspecon from tanks to dispensers including secondary containment condion, excluding interior tank inspecons, and excavang underground piping. We have a Veeder- Root leak detecon system and want to verify it is configured correctly and all alarm locaons acvate.

The end goal for the inspecon is to have a list of discrepant items needing to be repaired, and any items needed to effecvely monitor containment issues.

Queson:

Is this a general requirement for the periodic maintenance schedule?

Answer:

No, we have noted some potenal issues and want to get a complete inspecon.

Queson:

Are site visits allowed prior to award.

Answer:

Yes, site visits are allowed prior to the solicitaon closing and award. Please contact Thomas Roposa at:

Thomas.J.Roposa@uscg.mil to arrange a site visit.

Queson: Do you have a copy of the last fuel facility inspecon report and it’s findings? If so, will it be available?

Answer:

We do not have a copy of the last fuel facility inspecon report. This is part of the reason for having this inspecon to make sure all equipment is funconing properly.

Queson:

A Cerfied Veeder-Root technician is required to inspect the Veeder-Root systems. Will this be a requirement for this contract?

mailto:Thomas.J.Roposa@uscg.mil

Yes
