M6700120Q1188 Boxing Coaches This is for the Procurement of the services for Boxing Coaches for the United States Marine Corps. Below you will find the directions on how to quote/apply for this procurement, and you will see the steps you must follow in order to be considered for this position.

Directions For Quoting on Solicitation M6700120Q1188

1. For this contract there are four CLINs. CLIN stands for (C)ontract (L)ine (I)tem (N)umber – it is a Contracting Term that decribes the different positions.

a. CLIN 0001: Head Boxing Coach

b. CLIN 0002: Boxing Coach

c. CLIN 0003: Head Boxing Coach Travel

d. CLIN 0004: Boxing Coach Travel

2. To bid on a CLIN 0001 or 0002, do the following:

a. Go to the solicitation website found below:

b. Print out PAGE 3 of the .pdf document in the Attachments/Links section

c. Write in the monthly amount you are offering to do the contract for below the word AMOUNT

d. Write a total to the right of the words NET AMT. The net amount should be the monthly amount you wrote under AMOUNT multiplied by 12.

3. If you bid on CLIN 0001 you MUST also bid on CLIN 0003, and if you bid on CLIN 0002 you MUST also bid on CLIN 0004. This is the cost of the travel associated with the position.

a. This can be found on PAGE 4 of the .pdf document, right after the coach positions.

b. As with the coaching positions, print out this page and write in the amount you think this should cost.

c. For planning purposes, this was calculated for (8) overnight trips in and around the Camp Lejeune, North Carolina area and (1) week-long trip out of the area, possibly for regional or national qualifiers. You must make an estimate on what you think that would cost – (mileage/airfare, lodging, food).

4. Once you have PAGES 3, 4 and Blocks 30a, 30b and 30c on Page 1 properly filled out and scanned, email them to christopher.b.knight@usmc.mil along with your resume listing your certifications/qualifications/ accomplishments, and anything else you think makes you competitive for the contract.

a. If you have done a contract before and possess a letterhead for your company or a formal system for providing a quote, please provide that with PAGES 3 and 4 filled out and attached.

b. If you have not done a contract before and don’t have something like this, don’t worry. An email with your business or personal letterhead on it also works.

5. To summarize, a properly formatted bid will have the following:

a. Your company or personal letterhead (on a formal quote document or in the email sent to Sergeant Christopher Knight at christopher.b.knight@usmc.mil)

b. Blocks 30a, 30b and 30c of Page 1 filled out

c. PAGE 3 of the .pdf document with your bid amount written on it

d. Page 4 of the .pdf document with your bid amount written on it

e. Your resume as a boxing coach

6. In order to be awarded the contract, you will have to register in System for Award Management (SAM). You can contact Ms. Paulanne Page for help with getting introduced to SAM and Government contracting, this includes registering in SAM, WAWF, and obtaining a DUNS number and Cage Code. 7. Be sure to review FAR clause 52.212-2 in the solicitation. This states the evaluation process on how your quotes will be evaluated.

52.212-2 EVALUATION--COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 2014)

The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers:

This proposed acquisition is SET ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS. All responsible small business sources may submit a response which, if received in a timely manner, will be considered by the agency.

BASIS FOR AWARD: Award will be made on the basis of best value, price and other factors considered. This will not be awarded on an all or none basis. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards. The Government intends to make an award to the vendor whose proposal represents the best value to the Government based on (1) vendor’s ability to meet the technical specifications and (2) price.

TECHNICAL ACCEPTABILITY: To ensure technical compliance with the requirements, vendor quotes shall include the following information:

a. Item information: Descriptive literature outlining the specifications of the items quoted. The manufacturer’s name and manufacturer’s complete part number of all items quoted shall be submitted. A mere statement that the quoter will meet the Government’s requirement is not sufficient.

b. Price: The price must reflect unit prices, extended amounts per line item (if any), and overall total. Quote shall be FOB Destination.

c. Vendor’s quote must include an active Cage Code and Federal Tax Identification Number. Vendors are required to be registered within the SAM database and have an active Cage Code at the time quote is submitted.

Past Performance will be verified via the Supplier Performance Information Risk System (SPRS). PREPARATION OF QUOTE: Quotes must include the following: a. Technical quote b. Price quote c. Complete FAR provision 52.212-3 (If your information in System for Award Management (SAM) is up to date just initial in Paragraph B Section 2. If not, proceed to complete Section B to acknowledge your changes) SUBMISSION OF QUOTES: Quotes related to this solicitation must be received by the MCIEAST Contracting Department within the date and time specified in Block 8 on the first page of this solicitation. Quotes may be submitted via email to christopher.b.knight@usmc.mil (preferred method) or via hand delivery/courier to MCIEAST Contracting Department, Bldg. 1116, Birch Street, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547. It is solely the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure quotes are received within the required timeframe. The deadline for questions will be June 5th 2020 at 11:00 AM EST.
