20380225Q00007 Questions and Answers

Q1. Must all passengers remain seated in their wheelchairs during transport, or are some passengers able to transfer to standard seats with their wheelchairs stored during the trip?

A1. All wheelchair passengers except one will remain in their wheelchairs and will need to be tied down, while one will transfer from scooter to seat.

Q2. Is this a brand-new contract, or is an incumbent performing these services? If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

A2. This is a new award.

Q3. Driver Availability: Should drivers remain onsite and available throughout the day (e.g., 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM) during the event dates, or will they be permitted to drop off and return only when scheduled pickups are needed?

A3. Drivers can drop off and return, except for Tuesday afternoon, 07/08/2025.

Q4. Proposed Vehicle Mix: Would the configuration/combination of 2 wheelchair-accessible vans and 1 shuttle/minibus to accommodate the stated capacity (8 wheelchair-accessible and 27 standard seats) be acceptable to satisfy this requirement?

A4. A combination of 3 – 2 wheelchair and minibuses for the remaining ambulatory passengers would be acceptable.

Q5. Pickup/Drop-off Locations: Will all daily pickups and drop-offs occur at a central location (e.g., hotel and meeting venue), or will there be multiple locations around New Orleans?

A5. Please refer to Attachment C - Schedule.

Q6. What is the anticipated count for personnel? The solicitation requests eight (8) wheelchair seats as well as twenty-seven (27) regular seats.

A6. The anticipated personnel count is for six (6) wheelchair users as well as twenty-four (24) ambulatory riders.
