Question and Answer A0001

Solicitation Number 20215701002 Automatic Transfer Switches

1. Q) Provide pictures of the interior, exterior and surround environment for the existing ATSs to be replaced.

A) See attached photos.

2. Q) Provide the locations on a site drawing/ google maps for all the ATSs to be replaced.

A) See attached.

3. Q) Provide asbuilts drawings for existing conditions that show the existing conduit sizes, existing size/quantity of conductors and what is feeding/ being fed from each ATS.

A) See attached as-built drawings.

4. Q) Is there any low voltage/BAS/network wiring associated or connected to ATS.

A) There is no low voltage/BAS/network wiring associated or connected to ATS.

5. Q) Is the utility cable entrance Top or Bottom Entry?

A) MCC 1 & 2 are on the left hand side and MCC 3 & 4 are bottom entry.

6. Q) How is the obsolete ATS sections currently connected to the following: MCC 1, MCC 2, MCC 3; MCC 4? Is it cabled in or bus connected?

A) The obsolete ATS sections are currently connected cable to buss bar to the following:

MCC 1, MCC 2, MCC 3; MCC 4?

Q) If it is cabled in is it top or bottom exit?

A) It is connected on top with cable to buss bar.

7. Q) We have a question regarding the physical size of the existing Siemens Allis MARQ 21

Cabinets we are to install the new ATS's into. The project work statement notes all of the existing cabinets are 20"x20"x90", reference highlighted attached SOW. The work statement calls for Eaton ATS's to be installed inside of these existing cabinets. However, the size per Eatons drawings is 25.81" wide for the 400A ATS's and 20.81" wide for the 225A ATS's.

Please reference attached drawings from Eaton on the two specified switches. Please advise how to proceed as the specified ATS's are too wide to fit within the existing cabinets.

A) The intend is to install the Eaton ATS and back board only not the whole cabinet to our existing Siemens Allis MARQ 21 Cabinets.
