Amendment 0001 against Combined Synopsis/Solicitation 20205201065
The purpose of amendment A0001 is to provide responses to various RFI’s and provide requested documents.
Offer due date remains unchanged.
All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.
• When will the work start? Contracting Officer Representative will schedule a Kickoff Meeting after contract award. Kickoff meeting shall take place prior to the beginning of any contract work.
• What is the intended duration? 150 calendar days after contract award
• Is there a sequence of events or can more than one operation occur simultaneously? Contractor shall provide a schedule and work plan outlining the sequence of work. More than one operation can occur simultaneously.
• Can we get a copy of the blast and paint specification?
Contractor shall provide a list of paint and materials and shall submit manufacturers’ specifications and recommendations for approval by the Government prior to purchase. Refer to Section 2.2 of the PWS.
• Will Blastox additive be acceptable for the blast medium?
Contractor shall provide a list of paint and materials and shall submit manufacturers’ specifications and recommendations for approval by the Government prior to purchase.
• Are there any lead test results for any of the cranes and can they be made available for review? We do not have any lead test results.
• Are there any day/night shift conditions to perform this work, or any restrictions on available days and hours worked? Work shall be conducted between the hours of 7:00 am through 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed. The Contract may request different working hours and must submit in writing to the Contracting Officer. The Government may be unable to accommodate different working hours.
• Are there any site-specific training requirements? There are no specific training requirements.
Roadway Gantry Crane

• Are structural drawings available to determine square footage, height, etc.? Drawings were provided as attachments 1, 3, and 4.
• What kind of Traffic Control will be required, if any, and who provides? Contractor shall perform the painting and maintenance work and shall provide any necessary traffic control if required.
Switchyard Jib (Roof Crane)
• What specific requirements (if any) are required when working around the Switch gear terminals? The only requirement other than the normal PPE and safety procedures is the area near the work area be in total outage and de energized.
• Are there any general drawings for this jib crane available to determine dimensions? See attached
Bridge Crane (Overhead crane)
• Are there any structural drawings available for this crane to determine square footage and size? See attached
• Do the trolley and hoist motors also require painting? Yes, the trolley and hoist motors require painting.
• What does the floor access look like? Concrete flooring.
• Can manlifts be utilized on the floor, and if so, what are the load limits? Or will full scaffold installation be required if manlifts are not allowed? Yes, manlifts can be used. The specific load limits are not known, but the weight the area can withstand is more than what a manlift weighs. We have done work in these areas with large capacity cranes in the past.
• Do mats need to be provided to protect flooring prior to any equipment mobilizing on operating floor? Mats are not needed to protect flooring.
• What kind of access is available to get to the operating floor? The access is a two lane road from the port of entry to the dam and power plant, and there is a large garage type door big enough to enter with a large bucket truck or crane.
