QUESTIONS & ANSWERS FOR
FLATBED PRINTER PROCUREMENT, INSTALLATION, SETUP, AND TRAINING
Q1) If the Contractor has its own box truck to make delivery, is the customer able to accept deliveries by a vendor on a box truck?
A1) Yes, the Program is capable of accepting deliveries via box truck.
Q2) Will the receiving area be at dock height? If not, will there be a forklift available to off load the machine?
A2) The building that is receiving the printer has an overhead door at dock height. There is also a forklift available in case the heights of the truck and dock do not align.
Q3) Are all door openings 82 inches wide or wider and all hallways 82 inches wide or wider and void of any turns or angles that would prohibit a 15 foot long and 82 inch wide machine from passing? This question is relative to any opening the machine will need to pass through starting from the outside/receiving area and all the way to where the unit will ultimately be installed.
A3) The printer will enter the building through an overhead garage door and once inside the building there are no hallways or doorways that the printer will need to pass through.
Q4) During installation, will email access be available? Will the Contractor have the ability to install outside security keys on the computer that will be running the flatbed?
A4) Security keys may not be necessary as the computer the printer will be connected to already has ONYX RIP software. However, the computer will be connected to the network and any necessary security keys can be sent upon award via email for later installation.
