About this file
This document contains a laboratory report analyzing lead paint samples and a related federal contract opportunity notice. The laboratory report details lead paint testing results for 13 samples from the Chickamauga Lock project. Sample results ranged from 2.5 to 26 mg/Kg, with one sample exceeding the regulatory limit. Quality control sample results met specifications. The related federal contract opportunity is for painting the wall armor at Chickamauga Lock issued by the Nashville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The firm fixed price construction contract aims to clean, surface prepare, and paint horizontal corner wall armor metals and check posts throughout the lock that have degraded since the last painting in 2009 due to debris impacts, barges, and environment. Bidders are to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and transportation for the project.
