Statement of Work: Optical frequency comb with carrier envelope readout and optical beat detection

Use this Statement of Work document to purchase an item and/or item-related services.

TITLE: Optical frequency comb with carrier envelope readout and optical beat detection Requesting Lab/Division/Group: PML/688/(30)Time and Frequency Metrology Requisition Number: [to be entered by PR preparer]

Statement of Need Optical frequency standards require a method to transfer the high-stability optical output to the microwave and radio frequency domain. A fully contrained optical frequency comb, utilizing self-referenced carrier envelope stabilization as well as stabilization to the atomic optical reference can be used to produce microwaves that track the stability of the optical reference. This project is in need of a compact, stable, self-starting optical frequency comb to produce microwave from an atomic optical frequency standard.

Items and/or item-related services Section Requirements Related Information Items/Service (required)

Quantity one of an optical frequency comb with 250 MHz repetition rate, 1.5 micron oscillator, with carrier-envelope (Fceo) detection and 1156nm beat detection.
