“POLYGRAPH EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES”

1) Is it necessary to include VAT or any other taxes in the offer for the importation or nationalization of these items into the Republic of Panama?

Although the US Embassy Panama City is tax exempt from for imported goods, for this procurement, all customs process must be handled by the offeror.

2) Is it possible to ship the units to the Embassy's mailbox in the U.S., for onward shipment to Panama via diplomatic pouch?

No, please refer to solicitation document for “delivery place” information.

3) Are you aware of any import restrictions for commercially shipping polygraph units to Panama?

There are no import restrictions for this type of goods into Panama.

4) Will your partners in the Panamanian government assist with clearing the items through customs?

No, the awarded vendor is responsible for managing the entire import process.
