JANITORIAL SOW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Who is the incumbent?

Brian Maintenance

2. What is the annual value of the existing contract?

The current contract amounts to a Base year total of $126,025.08 CAD+ Harmonized Sales taxes of $16,383.26 CAD (13% HST), for a Grand total Base of $142,408.34 CAD (without supplies to be provided)

3. How can a site visit be arranged?

For the date and time of the scheduled site visit, please refer to p. 44 under FAR rule no. 52.237-1

4. Could you confirm that "daily" service is expected five days per week?

Yes, daily service is expected and required, as per Section 1.3.1 – Daily Cleaning Requirements, and Section 1.3.9

– Consul General’s & Secured Location Office Requirements.

5. Are pay rates subjected to the SCA?

As per Section 10 – DELIVERABLES, Companies biding should be legally registered to operate in Canada.

Therefore will be required to comply with Canadian, provincial Pay rates and regulations.

6. Who is the Contact Person?

The Contact Person is the Contracting Officer, Ms. Jaclyn Luo, at LuoJL@state.gov, as per p. 44, FAR rule no.

52.237-1.

7. Can I submit a bid before the site visit, at any point before the response date?

Yes

8. Do I reach out at once to the Canadian government to get approval to work at the consulate and hire or bring our employees with us that are United States citizens, or must we obtain the right to hire Canadian citizens?

Please refer to Section 1, item 10 – DELIVERABLES, p. 20 for information about licenses and permit required to at the time of Submission.

9. What will be the anticipated award date for this contract?

For planning purposes only, we anticipate contract award will occur in the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year

(FY) 2018

10. What is the anticipated start date for this contract?

The period of performance start date will be set forth in the Notice to Proceed Letter, which will be issued after contract award. However, for planning purposes only, we anticipate contract award will occur in the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year (FY) 2018

11. Has funds been appropriated for this opportunity?
