Questions and Responses
Question 1: What is the set-aside for this solicitation?
Answer 1: This solicitation is unrestricted and there is no set-aside.
Question 2: I am hoping to find out if there is an incumbent contractor currently performing these services or if this is a new requirement. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contract number?
Answer 2: The incumbent contractor is Kanawha Electric & Machine, LLC and the contract number is DOL-MSH-15-C-0009.
Question 3: Just wondering the difference between a pmII and a pmIII. Do you have a pm sheet that will let me know the details of each PM?
Answer 3: The PMII is one quarter to be completed by June and includes oil change, oil/fuel filters, and oil analysis for 3 generators.
The PMIII is only if we request it and includes load bank testing and antifreeze change for 3 generators.
Question 4: Just wondering if it will be ok to knock the power to the building for a few moments during the yearly load bank test.
Answer 4: Yes, however the government prefers to minimize any power interruption to the facility. If vendors wish to do so, they are encouraged to submit quotations addressing both load testing by interruption of the power supply and load bank testing using a machine to simulate the power interruption and both will be evaluated.
