B. Seal ends of cable on reels from moisture with suitable heat-shrinkable caps and mastic compounds.
C. Do not drag cable across ground, fences, or other sharp projections during shipping or placement of cable reels at jobsite.
D. Remove unused quantities of cable.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 POWER CABLE
A. Conform to NEMA WC 74 and AEIC CS8 and CS9, where applicable.
B. Ratings:
1. Rated Voltage: 15 kilovolts.
2. Operating Voltage: 6.6 kilovolts.
3. Frequency: 60 hertz.
4. Operating Temperature: 105 degrees C, maximum
5. Average Insulation Thickness: 220 mils 133 percent insulation.
C. Conductor:
1. Material: Class B, stranded, copper conductors; or compact-round, stranded copper conductors.
2. Size: 4/0.
3. Number of Conductors in Cable: One.
D. Insulation:
1. Solid-dielectric.
2. EPR (ethylene-propylene rubber), rubber-insulated.
E. Screens: Extruded, semi-conducting EPR conductor strand screen and extruded thermosetting semi-conducting EPR insulation screen.
F. Shield: 5 mil copper tape, deleted, helically applied.
G. Sheath: UL listed close-fitting, impervious, continuous corrugated aluminum.
H. Jacket:
1. Overall PVC compound jacket.
