About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) amendment for solicitation 140P9725Q0084, addressing details for a National Park Service (NPS) drill and event planning. The Q&A covers four key points: (1) Year 2 drill will be a hybrid event with some virtual and some in-person participation at Glacier Bay National Park, (2) for the Year 3 Worst Case Discharge drill in Juneau, contractors should include costs for conference room rental, with potential venues including Juneau Police Department and US Coast Guard Sector Southeast offices, (3) contractors must cover all printing costs for support materials and job book guides, and (4) the spill response/planning/communications contact database can be created using MS Excel or MS Access, with the requirement that it be easily shared and updated by the Coastal & Ocean Program Coordinator. NPS will provide coordination assistance for booking tabletop exercise spaces, and partners like cruise ship industry representatives will cover their own travel and costs.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

140P9725Q0084 at AMENDMENT 01

Q1. Will the Year 2 drill be conducted in person, and if so, will it be held at the NPS HQ in Glacier Bay National Park?

A1. Drill 2 is ideally a hybrid event with some partners chiming in virtually (as we may expect in a 'real incident'). Park personnel and the lead organizer are present in person.

Q2. For the Year 3 Worst Case Discharge drill in Juneau, should we include costs for conference room rental in our estimate, or will NPS be providing the space?

A2. Yes, please include all costs associated with hosting the event in Juneau, including a venue. There are some federal and state-owned spaces like the Juneau Police Department and the offices within the Juneau US Coast Guard Sector Southeast that have spaces that can work really well. NPS will provide coordination assistance to book spaces for tabletop exercises. Partners, like the cruise ship industry representatives, will cover their own travel and costs.

Q3. For the same drill, should we plan to include the cost of printing support materials and job book guides, or will printing be provided by NPS?

A3. Please plan to cover all printing costs.

Q4. Task 1b Item 2: Can MS Excel or MS Access be used to create the spill response/ planning/communications contact database?

A4. Yes, the contact database needs to be easily shared and updated by the Coastal & Ocean Program Coordinator.
