Site Visit Questions and Answers
Q: Are there twinned furnaces?
A: Each air handler unit is suppling air to separate zones. AHU-1 supplies air to the Kitchen, AHU-2 supplies air to the Chief Factor’s House main and second floor.
Q: Are there any options to enlarge the opening to the Chief Factor’s House basement mechanical room?
A: No, there is no way to enlarge the entrance to the basement mechanical room.
Q: Who does fire protection for the Chief Factors House? Can they remove the lines for the fire suppression system in the Chief Factors House basement?
A: The park holds a maintenance contract with McKinstry for fire sprinkler testing and maintenance. The Park can coordinate with them to modify the existing fire sprinkler heads if they conflict with the HVAC replacement work.
Q: Is there a fresh air intake duct?
A: Yes, there is an existing fresh air intake duct which draws in air from underneath the porch. Attachment 3 included in the solicitation shows the location of the intake.
