In the recent years, the industry has changed from MCA treatment in Red Pine.
Southern Yellow Pine should be treated with MCA (micronized copper azole) Red Pine should be treated with CA (copper azole)
Red Pine has been removed from the specifications because the lumber must be MCA treated wood, due to our requirement to purchase environmentally friendly products.
The specifications are now only for Southern Yellow Pine to ensure the lumber is MCA treated.
