Replace Park Water Supply Lines George Washington Carver National Monument
Contractor Questions
1. Question: Do we tie into the existing Visitor Center water line inside or outside of the building?
Response: Tie into water line outside of building.
2. Question: There is approximately 1,690 LF of existing water line to be abandoned. Is this existing pipe to be abandoned in place or to be physically removed from the ground?
Response: Existing pipe should be removed.
3. Do we re-use the existing valve vault on the east side of Maintenance Building #22 near the driveway curb?
Response: Existing valve vault should be reused.
4. Question: Do you require open cut or boring/directional drill of the existing street, drive, breezeway?
Response: We require boring instead of open cut.
5. Question: Please verify spec on seeding, mulch restoration.
Response: Type of Seed: lawn areas – perennial tall fescue turf-grass prairie areas – big bluestem
Mulch: Curlex or approved equal
