About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to solicitation number 140P5323R0063 to install standby generators at three locations within the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park. The questions and answers provide key details such as: extended performance periods of up to 70-90 weeks may be allowed due to long generator lead times; the locations and required generator kilowatt sizes are shown in the statement of work but not specific voltages; no as-built drawings or photos of existing electrical equipment are available beyond what could be observed and photographed during site visits; a 24-hour run time is required for fuel storage tanks; additional emergency stop buttons or interior sound annunciators are not needed beyond manufacturer-provided equipment; a NEMA 1 transfer switch can be used inside the visitor center building; and pricing all three generator projects together in a single bid option would be considered and requires contracting officer approval.
