140P4523Q0041 RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS FROM THE SITE VISIT FOR

TREE REMOVAL SERVICE

1. Clarification regarding the question that the scope lists for contractor to provide certification for an electrical line clearing arborist. There is ACRT (line clearance arborist certification) and TCIA (tree care industry association) certification. Does TCIA meet the requirement?

Contract bids must show credentials for qualified line-clearance arborist by accredited organization.

ANSI Z133 Arboricultural Operations Safety Standards Part 4 Electrical Hazards

4.1.7 Arborists not qualified to work within 10 feet of electrical conductors shall maintain at all times the minimum approach distance (13 feet for 138-145 Kv (240 Volt service) measured radially.

4.3 Working in Proximity to Electrical Hazards

4.3.2 The employer shall verify that each line-clearance arborist is qualified to work within proximity to electrical hazards that the arborist is exposed to and has been trained in the following topics:

- Safety

- Rescue

Qualified line-clearance arborist (4.3.6) - an individual, who, through related training and on-the-job experience is familiar with the equipment and hazards in line clearance.

2. Is certified arborist required to be on site at the time work is performed?

Yes. The scope states, "a certified arborist will be onsite throughout the project".

3. Are there any septic field concerns on the Stanton property?

No, there are not.

4. What is the height you are looking for regarding vehicle clearance at the Hunt property?

Approximate height to allow for large vehicle like a delivery box truck (12').

5. Will park contact person be on-site to advise if trimming conditions are acceptable?

Yes, park staff will be on-site when the work is performed to advise.

A possible access point for the property at Stanton is an old asphalt driveway at the back of the landscape. Note that the apron of the access is sloped.
