About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 (SF-30) Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for the National Park Service's Intermountain Region - Arizona MABO. The amendment covers inspection and cleaning of an elevated potable water tank at Walnut Canyon National Monument, with a performance period from 04/14/2025 to 08/15/2025. The solicitation number is 140P1525Q0053, and the amendment provides additional details through a questions and answers section and accompanying photographs.

The Q&A section reveals key technical details about the project, including the tank's dimensions (22'6" diameter, 19'0" head range) and the agency's preference to conduct the inspection and cleaning without draining the tank, using ROVs and divers. The timeline for the inspection is 4 months, with the current contract focusing solely on inspection and cleaning, not structural corrections. Four photographs are included showing the water tank's exterior, support structure, fencing, and access gate, located in a forested environment with pine trees.

Questions and Answers listed below:

QUESTIONS:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. What are the overall dimensions of the elevated tank? Diameter 22’6”, Head Range 19’0”,

2. Will you be able to drain the tank before USG Water can perform sediment removal, cleaning, and final inspection?

We would like to conduct this work without draining the tank. There should be no need, with the availability of ROVs and divers.

Draining the tank would cause a major inconvenience to the park and also increase project costs.

3. What is the project timeline for completion of the tank inspection and rehab work to correct all deficiencies?

The timeline for inspection is 4 months. This contract is only for inspection and cleaning, not for correcting any structural deficiencies, etc. Those corrections will come in a later project.

4. Would you be able to provide pictures of the tank, access gate and fencing around the tank?
