Questions and Answers Number 2
1. Do they need access control and new intrusion?
Yes, this facility does not have an existing alarm. This will be a new alarm system.
2. Who would they like monitoring?
This is for the building. Monitoring break-ins and building security.
3. For access control, do they require a platform to read the PIV credentials?
There is nothing set up for FOBs system. This is for the alarm system not for entry to the door system.
4. What is the existing power infrastructure?
Electric, in North Las Vegas
a. Is the power supply stable?
Yes, and there is a Generator when there is power failure.
b. Will UPS(s) be required? No, the Facility is tied to a Back up Generator. There would be lag time 30-45 seconds before power is fully back up at the facility.
i. If so, what is the power requirement? N/A
ii. How many UPS? N/A
5. Are there existing fiber optic access points? No- prefer wireless.
c. Will new fiber optic cables be required? No
i. If so, what type?N/A
d. What are the lengths of the fiber optic cables from point of origin to end destination? N/A
e. How many fiber optic runs? N/A
f. What termination types will be required? N/A
6. Will trenching be required? No
g. If so, are the utility locations marked on the ground and/or properly documented? N/A
h. Will dig permits be required? N/A
i. Who will be required to obtain the digging permits? N/A
7. Will lead and asbestos abatement be required? No

16. What are the “testing requirements” for the new or upgraded system(s)? The system is required to meet the specified requirements provided in the statement of work. The system is required to monitor the facility 24/7 year round.
17. Is the government able to extend the solicitation’s due date?
The solicitation will be extended to the 30th.
