QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS DOC

CURRY CULEE PIPELINE

140L3420Q0025

Q: The well for the pipeline, is it free flowing? How are we going to hook to it?

A: That is not part of this contract.

Q: Are water bars needed on sharp slopes?

A: Yes.

Q: How much dirt can be disturbed where it falls into the coulee? For private industry, I would take quite a lot, but I know that BLM has restrictions sometimes.

A: According to the soil scientist, we are not going to stop you from doing the work. Try to keep the disturbance to a minimum and ensure water bars are used after the pipe has been installed. At the time of the tour, it was unknown if Archeology would need to be present for the dirt work disturbance. It has since been clarified that this is not needed.

Q: If I run out of 1.5” SDR 7.3 pipe, can I use 2”?

A: Yes, 2” exceeds the requirement however, it is not a request of the Government and no additional cost shall be added.

Q: How many high-pressure air valves are required?

A: One.
